could it be a survey of the site?

from the bottom to the top, part 5 from maya kowalska on Vimeo.

recently i was working with a idea of combinig all of the "from the bottom to the top" videos into one and creating a full view of the site.
how would we see the space, how could we perceive it in a different way?
here is a "from the bottom to the top; part 5" where we taking a look from our ankles to the head on the space around. how different it feels?

from the bottom to the top.. again.. how to put the video together?

Recently i have tried to put together a video that would describe the way of moving of a particular parts of the body.. i tried to use a advanced program, Adobe Premiere CS5, but unfortunately it seems to beat me because of it complexity... so not to loose time i have constructed a movie in a much simple program which you can find by following the link below..
I'm still trying to work on the Adobe, i soon should be able to show you results.. fingers crossed!

pipe rig is changing the size..

i have decided that i will change the size of my pipe rig, make it a bit smaller to have easier access to a narrower corridors or staircases..so i cut the parts and also changed the camera holding device, now it should work perfectly!

form the bottom to the top

You are invited to follow the "from the bottom to the top" series, where I'm going to show how and what one is able to see while having a camera attached to a different part of the body.
also i will try to show what advantages my pipe rig can bring..!
its pretty amazing, you wouldn't tell that this is happening, until you see!

stop shaking! or shake a lot! take 2

So i did it!
Instead of £250 i paid 18 for my fig rig, but i prefer to call it pipe rig, as i build it from PVC pipes and connections that i found in my local DIY store. It was pretty easy and I'm sure that i will be using it in the future! Magic that works!
Still need to tune it up a bit, for example make a bag for it, or just paint it, but the idea itself came to life! Here is a little glimpse of my pipe rig!

Also, i took a little twist on the pipe rig, in fact i tried to give it a bit more functions;
1. the parts are easy to assemble so they are easy to remove also, by changing the top and bottom "curved" pieces and adding straight bars i wanted to create a stabilizer that would allow one to take pictures from a knee high, as you yourself holding it in front of you, or with a friend, holding it from each side can easy walk or run and take realistic footage of first person view without too much of a trouble. this also allow one to shoot a running sequence. unfortunately, don't have a picture of two people holding the device, but it does work!

2. by removing only the bottom "curve" you can grab the top and lower the camera even more to create stable footage very close to the ground.

firs taste of pipe rig.

the movie is quite simple. It's because i just wanted to show you how stable the picture is while using the rig.
